Bionanophotonics &
Health Technology Lab

The Bionanophotonics and Heath Technology Lab is a new and multidisciplinary team at School of Biomedical Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. We are assembling an imaginative research team, where we can use our knowledge in nanophotonics, materials science, biochemical science, biomedical engineering, micromechanical engineering, and diagnosis to find bold, creative solutions to real-world problems. In this group, we exploit advanced control of plasmonic enhanced light-matter interaction at the nanoscales as a promising enabling tool to tackle scientific and technological challenges in the clinical, biomedical and diagnostic fields. Our Research

Light-Matter Interaction

We are investigating basic optical and optoelectronic principles and harnessing these techniques for wide range of biosensing applications.

Alternative Plasmonic Materials

We would like to further develop more biocompatible and biochemical stable nanophotonic materials for in-vivo and implantable biosensing applications.

Versatile Photonic Applications

We exploit plasmonic enhanced light-matter interactionas a enabling tool to tackle scientific and technological challenges in the multidisplinary fields.

Robotic Biosensing system

We explore the combination of integrated optics, in-vivo diagnosis, high-throughput detection and novel bioassay innovations with advances in medical robotics.
